Wufoo forms is something I stumbled upon the other day when submitting a the form of another web site. I linked on the form name at the bottom and it took me to the WuFoo website and checked it out …now I’m going to give them a try.

Wufoo will let you create up to 3 forms with a free account, but they will require you to allow their branding and link on your forms. Some of the features they have include payment integration with PayPal, Google Checkout and Authorize.net. They also have forms with 128 Bit SSL security features, SPAM protection and nightly backups. The forms can be embedded in any HTML page, they can be linked to directly on the WuFoo hosted platform, they can be put into a pop-up window if you like. They also have all the great feuatres you would expect for managing the mailing list from the subscriptions or forms that you have created.

When I tried the demo account with 3 free forms I found the form wizard to be very easy to use, I created my Quote form on my Pricing page very quickly and easily. When I put the code into the blog page I created, it didn’t exactly mesh with the design and colors I had going so I went back to Wufoo and after poking around a little I discovered that I could completely customize the look of my form, so now the color, font, size and thank you message all look like it’s fully integrated into my site. One other feature I’ve seen here which is handy is the desktop notifier – if you have a serious, time sensitive campaign, that would be cool to have running – I haven’t tried it yet but I will soon.

Wufoo also has a number of premade templates to choose from for different uses like surveys, mailing lists, order forms, event planners, workshop registration and more. Along with the template forms you can select from a number of premade colorful themes with great selection of color palettes.

One feature I think they should work on next is an email program similar to something like IContact (www.icontact.com) so that I can communicate with the inquiries I’ve received and subscribers who sign up in the future – currently I don’t see that feature which means I need to export my list to somewhere else.

As soon as I need more forms, I will probably be going back to Wufoo for an upgraded account. If want to know more visit www.wufoo.com and have a look.

I spent the first part of this week doing some marketing on another project I have been working on for the past 2 years ..it’s the end of the month and it’s a subscription service so it’s best to have your message in front of someone who just got paid .

Today I’m working on copy for the site as well as pricing packages and other content. The goal is to also have one theme per day finished and online for the gallery. There are also specific Word press plugins for each demo site to work through but working with the plugins is actually a lot of fun – some of these little ad ons that have been created are awesome. As of today there are over 3,400 plugins for WordPress – I’m putting the best SEO plugins to work right here on the Blogs4Business.ca blog. Woohoo!

Get ‘er done!

This is it …the first blog of Blogs 4 Business. So this is where I will start seeing as everything new needs a starting point. I’m actually glad to get that out of the way – 21 wordpress sample theme sites to create and a lot of setup for the administration of the business. Blog hosting with set up and support of a great selection of themes – that’s the deal and the backbone of the business. I’m digging blogs and I have for a few years now and since I’ve actually taken the time and fiqured them out and understand them better, I have to say that I’m excited about the internet again! I’m excited for small businesses because maintaining their websites is now far less expensive than it has ever been before and I’ll be showing the smart ones how to do it.
